Junior baseball

Our junior program is at the heart of the Dapto Chiefs. We welcome children and teens at all ages and levels, from complete beginners to experienced youth players. The focus is on learning the fundamentals, having fun, and encouraging growth.

Highlights of our junior program:

• Age-divided teams to ensure fair competition and developmentally appropriate coaching.

• u6’s & u8’s play tee ball, u10’s play Zooka (machine pitch) and u12’s & u14’s play regular baseball with a pitcher

• Emphasis on fundamentals: pitching, catching, batting, fielding, base running, and teamwork.

• Certified coaches who create a supportive and inclusive training environment.

• Regular training sessions, game days, and club events.

• Pathways into senior baseball for those who wish to continue and compete at higher levels.

Whether your child is picking up a glove for the first time or already playing in representative teams, the Dapto Chiefs is here to support their growth—and love for the sport.

Summer season games for kids from under 6’s to under 14’s run from early October to late March, playing on Sundays at the regional baseball complex located at Fred Finch Park in Berkeley.
